Is it really news when everyone's favorite Governator gets cited, after having a minor accident, for not having a motorcycle endorcement? [1] I'm sorry, but I have a really hard time understanding why this is on CNN's "U.S." page, as well as listed fourth under "More News" on their front page. Big deal... Yeah, he should pay whatever fine he owes, but come on, does the whole nation really care about this kinda crap?
I dirty the site by even mentioning, but how about Britney Spears' idiot marriage [2]... why was that news? I can see why it might have been in an issue of "Teen" magazine, but right on CNN? Seems a little stupid to me.
Heck, while I understand why it is important to know what is happening with our elected officials, doesn't a report about the Vice President being hospitalied [3] (even just for a short time) violate HIPPA confidentiality regulations or something? Plus, I'm not quite sure why this would fall under "Politics," it could very well be "Health" or "U.S" instead...
Another one, although this one might fit more in the "Outrageous" category: Vermont Judge Edward Cashman (interesting name) setenced a man to 60 days in prison for raping "a 7-year-old girl more or less continuously until she was 11," as John Gibson stated in his "My Word" segment on January 6th. [4] [5] I don't think it gets a whole lot more rediculous than this, my friends. I really can't begin to comprehend how this one works... some dude molests a child repeatedly for years and is basically told that it is OK and that punishing him with hard time really wouldn't solve anything anyway... Yeah it would, you dolt: It would solve the problem of having one more creep out on the streets. I'm gonna have fun watching O'Reilly and Gibson tear into this judge, seriously... I want to see nothing less than Cashman out of the judiciary. I don't care about the context of the case either (yeah, I know, I'd be a bad judge probably)... Cashman is essentially letting a criminal off easy and I honestly have to wonder about the integrity of any judge responcible for such a horrendous act.
How about this one: Lillo Brancato Jr., an actor who happened to play six episodes on "The Sopranos", [6] a show I've actually never watched but have heard was pretty good, is on accused of being in part responcible for the death of a New York City cop while breaking into an apartment. [7] Presuming this is all true, what the hell is this guy doing? I guess he didn't have enough money from his acting gigs so he thought he'd get into burglary. What a joke...
Of course, I guess it is rediculous that I even brought all of this up... but I never claimed to not be rediculous.
