This is so old and ridiculous. Read in the news now, that people are complaining about the "Under God" part in our Pledge of Allegiance. How picky can we really get? I mean, what else is next? No wonder people want nothing to do with religion or the way that these blatant atheist are. One side, the religious are fighting for text, and the other side, these winy, cry baby atheist are complaining about texts. These atheists sound like the KKK who stand on the 1st amendmant for their hatred views, and now these atheists stand on this seperation of church and state issue that is clearly played out. Do you really think the grand ole U.S of A is a Christian nation now? This country has a history of blood-shed upon bloodshed, and here the government complains about Saddam murdering people, yet history shows that we have tooken governments away, then watched people die upon the hands of the people we reinstated as some leader, causing turmoil upon turmoil upon innocent, non-Christian lives. The greed, and corruption in our own governement, esepcially coming out today about this whole war with Iraq, and then watching our economy look like a rollar- coaster. Democrats being basically a temptress to the people with these hopes of dreams/lies. Politics screwed up, then a country with the 1st amendement, which is needed, but at the same time, the liberalism coming in is createing a very unstable form of spirituality for this country to live upon. So now we have these atheists standing up for their right to not say two words.
First off, where in the constitution does it say that we have to say the pledge of allegiance? Can anyone out there quote me a place in the constitution that says we have to say it? These atheists need to complain to the schools if it bothers them that much, but to take it to the federal government, just shows that people are so stupid, and weak that they cannot think for themselves and live that out, without complaining and having to change everything to appease their little egos. It is almost like these fearful atheist are too scared for themselves and maybe their past with the church, that they think that by not saying two words will protect them from people of this world? I laugh at that thought. They say it alienates constitutional rights. How? Like I said before, if the parents have such a huge deal with this Pledge of Allegiance, why not go to schools, and ask if their kids do not want to say it, then do not punish or force them too. That is true 1st amendment right. The ability to change things according to your own beliefs around you, instead of changing the way of life for a whole country.
Secondly, to the other side of the issue, the pro-Pledge of Allegiance, what good are you doing in this country by standing up for basically a chant? Just because it has been the way of Americain life, or because you feel it is God's Will to stand up for a song? Where in the Bible did a man or woman make a fuss about a chant not being sung? Or is it to be sure the infedels do not conquer us Christians? Do you really think God is worrying about the Pledge of Allegiance in this country? I mean, God cares more about how we spread the gospel to the lost. Yes, when ever I have a child, I hope that my child still has the liberty to say it, it's Americain history/heritige, but to look down on another kid that does not want to say it, how is that love or maybe look down on the parents that went to the schools and asked their child to not be force to say it because it isn't their religion? There is nothing wrong with that. It is Americain history/heritage. The Freedom to Believe What We Want to Believe and to Not be Persecuted. My anger is towards the ones that think that the federal government has to be changed because of their own personal views, but to you guys, the Pro-Pledge of Allegiance, I just hope you realize that this chant/song is nothing detrimental to our faith. Christ was not an Americain, He was a Jew. We seem to forget that. Americains think that we are the special country, but remember the covenant the Jews and God will FOREVER have, and the Americain way cannot break that. Our Pledge of Allegiance will someday be burned away. We are a young country, and someday our government will be laid to rest. Focus on what really matters, is showing love to these non-believers. Love, meaning Grace. Love that can withstand the flames of hell. We put so much important on our patritotic religious songs, or symbols in our country, when this country is not a Christian nation anymore. To take this part in the Pledge of Allegiance will not send us to hell. You believe that standing up for a chant means great things instored in heaven, or that you are doing a great deed. What about the local AA member that needs you to listen him? What about the local teenage mother that needs help and some emotional support? What about the young addict that is trying his hardest to get off of the drug, but just needs a listening ear? Where are the Christians standing up for drug programs down Washington D.C.? Where are the Christians standing up for the local AA Hall? Where are the Christians standing up for the programs that help out teenage mothers? Where are the Christians standing up for the Jews suffering in Siberia? No where in sight. So many of Christians feel that these are just nesscessities, but NO!, these are more extrordinary programs and views than the Pledge of Allegiance. These are what are needed, but they extraordrinary things that are needed, not some chant. What about Christians standing up for the Jewish people suffering, whether or not they believe in Christ as the Messiah? Where are they at? Remember World War 2, and how the church ignored the Holocaust? Yes, some years later the church apologized, but that left a mark in history. But no, we have people down Washington D.C. standing up for a patriotic chant, nothing more. This is ridiculous and angering.
I hope someday, we will realize what really matters. The love of God to someone going to hell, or some believer living in hell. Patriotic songs/chants do not matter, looks, apperance, race all that stuff and more don't matter, but to show the love of God in the face of conflict. To stand up for what really matters is really all that matters. With this issue, we have two sides of standing up for the wrong issue and fighting over it with one another. History always seems to repeat itself.
